Made with long tiny fish from the herring family with hot, spicy tomato sauce, Ligo sardines are convenient for meals. It can be eaten just as it is from the can, heated up and served on table. However Pinoys love to enhance its flavor or make it more appetizing. Ligo sardines maybe cooked with noodles called "Miswa" and spices added to enhance more flavor. It may also be cooked with eggs. Interestingly, depending on which region in the Philippines a Pinoy used to live or had familiarity with, cooking the sardines with egg maybe done with or without soup.
